Hain Swaps Election Tips With Cwmtawe Pupils

Mock election candidates swapped election tips with Neath MP Peter Hain on visit to Cwmtawe comprehensive.

In a question and answer session Mr Hain was asked about standing as a candidate in election, what was most frustrating about being an MP, qualities needed to be an MP, debating, campaigning and how he became involved in politics.

“The pupils ran a really good campaign and had a good understanding of what it was like in an election,” said Mr Hain.

The Neath MP was also grilled on issues such as immigration, the economy, employment and benefits.

“It was a good session and they really knew their stuff on key issues that I faced on door step during the election and I regularly deal with.”
